I am translating Delivering Happiness for the Korean market. I also wondered what happened to Nick and my search brought me here! Glad to hear that it was not a sad ending!

I was wondering what happened to Nick. He kind of fell out of the story in the book.

Hi Chad! Thanks for your inquiry. Two common questions that Tony has gotten after the book came out are "What happened to Nick?" and "What happened to Keith's dog?" Tony didn't mean to leave the readers hanging -- it was an oversight during the writing process (Tony wrote the whole book over 14 days).

Nick left Zappos in 2006 because he really missed being part of a smaller company. Until the sale to Amazon, Nick remained a Zappos shareholder and continued to attend board meetings (and of course, Zappos parties). He went on to start a couple of other companies and currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Keith's dog was taken care of by his roommate, and eventually they were reunited in Las Vegas a couple of years later. :) Thanks for supporting Delivering Happiness.
