Thanks for your inquiry. Two common questions that Tony has gotten after the book came out are "What happened to Nick?" and "What happened to Keith's dog?" Tony didn't mean to leave the readers hanging -- it was an oversight during the writing process (Tony wrote the whole book over 14 days). Nick left Zappos in 2006 because he really missed being part of a smaller company. Until the sale to Amazon, Nick remained a Zappos shareholder and continued to attend board meetings (and of course, Zappos parties). He went on to start a couple of other companies and currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
